What is Beach Camp?

Beach Camp is a 5-day trip to Panama City Beach, Fl for middle and high school students. As the largest event for SouthCrest Students, it is the place where God’s Word will encounter them, incredible adults will invest in them, and students will be free to worship without life’s distractions in a fun and exciting environment.

Parent Questions

What can I expect as a parent?

We want to provide you with as many details as possible to assure you that your student is taken care of.

We will host a mandatory parent meeting on Sunday, May 5th at 12:30PM in the Main Worship Center at our Newnan and Lagrange Campus.  At this meeting, you will receive a document with Arrival/Departure times, packing checklist, security info, and much more!

How can I pay for Beach Camp?

You can pay online with debit/credit card when registering.

Can I make Payments for Beach Camp?

This year we have included a way for you to make payments for Beach Camp if you would prefer to do so. When registering you will have the option to schedule payment frequency and which day of the month you would like payments drafted.  Please keep in mind that all accounts must be paid in full by May 1st.

What if I do not have a credit/debit card?

Contact Rachel Henderson at for assistance registering with cash or check payments.

Is there a discount for multiple students?

No.  We have done everything possible to make Beach Camp as affordable as possible so every student possible is able to attend.

Can we get a refund if we are unable to attend Beach Camp?

SouthCrest Church will not offer any refunds for money paid.  We consider this a ticketed event, so you will need to “sell” your spot to another student if you are unable to attend. Please contact the student ministry office once you have someone secured to take your spot.

What kind of adult supervision is provided?

We will be taking trained adult volunteers, who are passionate about investing in your students’ lives, to serve as small group and room leaders.  All of our leaders will be equipped and coached, as well as cleared through a background check.

Will there be trained medical staff accompanying the group to Beach Camp?

Yes.  We will have a pediatrician and nurse serving at Beach Camp. All prescription medication will be retained and administered by the medical staff. Any regularly administered prescription medication must be given to the medical staff at check-in.

Will my student be able to take a cell phone?

Yes.  Students may take cell phones to Beach Camp but time will be limited on them. Cell Phones will be kept by the room leader until after evening worship each day and then taken back up by 11:30pm. Students who abuse this freedom will have their phones taken up and given back at the end of camp.  This week is about connecting them with Jesus and ignoring distractions.

How can I stay informed about what is going on at Beach Camp?

How do I volunteer at Beach Camp?

Our students NEED you to come to camp to help make an eternal investment in their lives! You don’t have to be anything other than passionate, teachable, and willing to give your time and heart to students!

If you would like to volunteer, please fill out this form and one of our staff members will contact you to help walk you through the process.

Do I have to attend camp to volunteer?

No! Though the majority of the volunteers we need go to camp as counselors and support teams, we also NEED volunteers to help us with preparation before we leave, as well as registration and logistics on the day we leave! If you are unable to come as counselors, our students, volunteers, and staff, would love if you are able to help us prepare to leave well!

Does it cost anything for me to volunteer?

Yes.  The cost for volunteers is $75.  This covers room, transportation, food, training materials, supplies, and the official Beach Camp t-shirt!

Mandatory Volunteer Training Meetings:

Dates coming soon!

Need-Based Financial Aid

Every year we have students that want to attend camp, but because of economic difficulties it would not be possible without the generosity of our church donors.  If you are in need of financial aid or would like to support someone, please review the info below.

What is the process to apply for a camp scholarship?

Need-based financial aid is awarded based upon need and the date received. In order to be considered for aid, please complete the Beach Camp Financial Aid form found through the button below. This form must be completed as soon as possible. Once you have submitted your application you will be contacted by our church staff to schedule an interview with one of our student pastors. All aid applications are confidential and are not discussed outside of the SouthCrest Students staff team. After all interviews have been completed, decisions will be made by April 1st and award emails will be sent out on April 5th.

How can I sponsor someone for Beach Camp?

If you would like to help students’ lives be changed, you can give financially to the Beach Camp Financial Aid Fund! There is not a better investment than in the lives of the Next Generation.

If you would like to give by check, simply write “Camp Aid” in the memo line and drop it in the offering on Sunday morning, or simply click the button below to give online!
